THE CHALLENGE

Selling a technology rather than a product or solution can be tricky. That was the problem facing Philips with their ingenious uWand direct pointing technology for SmartTV.

We took a sideways look at the problem and decided that, in addition to traditional media outreach, we needed to directly engage via social channels with a niche audience of engineers and C-level executives.

 

THE OUTCOME

A laser targeted social media campaign has directly resulted in new customer relationships for Philips and the important media regularly call on the company for comment on the development of SmartTV user interfaces.
