Babel PR Appoints U.S. Head
UK headquartered Babel PR, one of the fastest growing agencies in the tech sector, has appointed Caroline Kawashima as Executive Vice President & U.S. Head for its recently established San Francisco operations. Kawashima joins from Golin where she headed the company’s enterprise technology practice and throughout the course of her career has led campaigns for global technology brands including Autodesk, Equinix, HP, Sybase/SAP and Microsoft and Quantum Corp.
“Caroline is one of the most experienced PR professionals in one of the most active technology markets in the world,” commented Babel PR founder Ian Hood. “That experience, and her expertise in designing and managing campaigns for start-ups, market challengers and established brands, is exactly what we need to replicate our success in the US market.”
Prior to the appointment of Kawashima, U.S. campaigns were managed from Babel UK and implemented by a team based in San Francisco. The agency focuses on B2B markets and has developed strong expertise in mobile technologies, making it one of the most sought after agencies in the sector. Existing clients include Axell Wireless, BICS, Devicescape, Infobip, Intercede, Fastback Networks, MailChannels, Ruckus Wireless and Tektronix Communications.
“After many years working with some of the biggest agencies in the business, Babel PR is a breath of fresh air,” said Kawashima. “The agency is full of smart and passionate PR professionals who produce meaningful results and who really understand the sectors in which they operate. Babel’s mobile domain expertise in particular should prove invaluable to a wide range of companies deploying a mobile-first strategy to meet the increasing consumer and enterprise appetite for mobile.”
