Parallel Wireless

A high visibility MWC campaign

Parallel Wireless is a key player in the new OpenRAN telecoms initiative, which is seeing networks become more open, flexible and software-centric. The company approached Babel to help drive visibility in the run-up to MWC and increase share of voice against its major competitors.

Babel developed a position paper focussing on the role of OpenRAN in the development of 5G networks. This was used to drive proactive thought leadership engagement with key trade and business press. Babel also developed issues-based content focussed on the implications of Huawei’s potential expulsion from networks, to tap into the live media agenda.

Babel secured over 25 pieces of thought leadership coverage for Parallel Wireless in just two months of working on the project. This included coverage in the FT (print and online), Fierce Wireless, Light Reading, RCR Wireless and Telecoms Tech. Babel has also set up briefings with the Washington Post and City AM. Parallel Wireless received a higher volume of positive coverage versus its competitors and has been positioned as a leader in the sector. As a result of the campaign, Parallel Wireless is working with Babel on a retainer basis.
