Axell Wireless unveils comprehensive portfolio of public safety communications equipment for Australia

Melbourne, Australia: 20 November 2013 – Axell Wireless, the worldwide provider of wireless coverage solutions, today announced that its product portfolio has been approved by the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA). The certification enables it to offer a broad portfolio of public safety coverage solutions to the Australian market.

The Axell Wireless D-CSR 4008 has received ACMA approval. This is its latest product to meet ACMA standards, the company’s D-CSR 3604 digital channel selective UHF repeater received ACMA approval in December 2012.  The D-CSR 4008 is a channel selective repeater designed to support public safety networks and Professional Mobile Radio systems such as TETRA, APCO25, and other systems in the 800MHz band. Suitable for security applications within buildings or critical infrastructure facilities such as metro (underground) networks, rail or road tunnels, airports and energy or chemical plants.

The approved product portfolio means that Axell Wireless now offers a comprehensive range of public safety coverage solutions for the Australian market. ACMA is the government agency responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, the internet, radio communications and telecommunications across the country. The agency governs access to spectrum as well as enabling the industry to meet the needs of the community for communications services and products.
