OpenCloud Ranked as One of Britain’s Fastest Growing Private Tech Businesses

Cambridge, UK, – September 17th, Telecoms software innovator OpenCloud has today announced it has been listed in the prestigious Sunday Times Tech Track 100.

The highly respected league table ranks Britain’s 100 private Technology Media and Telecoms (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years. During this period, OpenCloud has experienced sustained annual growth in excess of 72% – ranking it 39th in the table.

“The telecoms industry is going through substantial change with advances such as LTE and the emergence of global over-the-top service providers spawning a much more competitive landscape,” said Jeff Gordon, CEO of OpenCloud. “OpenCloud’s portfolio of products enables operators to adapt to change, faster and more cost effectively. Today’s operator requires that the barriers to innovation are removed. Our mission to achieve this aim will provide us with many opportunities moving forward.”

Despite challenging economic conditions in global markets, OpenCloud closed one of its best ever financial quarters at the end of 2011; and this success continued in 2012. Several operators, including members of the T-Mobile and Vodafone groups, and Free Mobile in France, adopted Rhino – OpenCloud’s flexible, open-standards-based service layer platform. Rhino helps operators to deliver mobile services cost effectively and to differentiate their service portfolios to be more competitive in a crowded market. OpenCloud’s open technology also harnesses a broad community of independent developers. This independent ecosystem can assist operators in ramping up the speed of their service innovation.

Constrictive market conditions are ensuring that International mobile operators are looking to cut costs, and differentiate themselves, in order to succeed. OpenCloud’s products speak directly to that requirement – and its list of tier one mobile operator customers underlines the company’s ability to deliver carrier grade solutions that can offer real benefits to all operators. OpenCloud’s success in the market stems from this modern and disruptive approach to address the needs of its customers.
