Ostmodern takes content beyond video for Azoomee relaunch
Skylark platform chosen to improve the user experience, facilitate international growth, and streamline future flexibility and scalability of children’s content delivery service
London, UK, 6th December 2017 – Ostmodern today announced its Skylark platform has been deployed by Azoomee, the biggest children’s entertainment OTT service in the UK. Skylark is Ostmodern’s end-to-end video delivery and content management system that’s already been deployed by several major broadcasters, including the BBC. The deployment was driven by Azoomee’s need for a new back-end system that would facilitate international growth in the near future.
The Skylark platform has overhauled the back-end for Azoomee’s service. It offers the flexibility and scalability needed to quickly launch the service onto new platforms and in different languages, and also takes a more structured approach to organising data than the outgoing system. Skylark brings an entirely new approach to managing content as a result, making it possible for Azoomee’s team to stitch together and rationalise different types of content to offer more tailored recommendations and introduce a simple way for the editorial team to localise content for the first time. This was important for the brand as its service encompasses video, games, audiobooks, and a variety of educational material.
