Digital product design and Video on Demand (VoD) content delivery expert Ostmodern has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including the BBC, 4oD, ITV Player and Arsenal FC. The company has been breaking the mould of ‘out of the box’ white label VoD platforms by designing bespoke video-centric products for over a decade. However, it wasn’t getting the attention it deserved in media and analyst circles, and this was having a knock-on effect on the company’s new business goals. It needed to rapidly reach the market and show the world what it’s capable of.
Ostmodern approached Babel to help build the organisation’s overall visibility as a leading innovator in the VoD market. As such, Babel designed a campaign that concentrated on thought leadership and built on Ostmodern’s existing customer base as a proof of concept. Immediately after coming on board, the Babel team utilised what raw material was available and used this to identify opportunities for engaging with the media that matter, positioning Ostmodern as an innovative market leader with world class customers.
Initial activity delivered results almost immediately, quickly enforcing Ostmodern’s position in the VoD space. As a result of a number of successful issues jumps, media briefings, thought leadership and the corporate news programme, the company has since achieved a wide range of coverage across UK national titles including The Economist and The Mirror, top tier trade and consumer tech publications.
Two years on Babel remains Ostmodern’s PR agency and the company’s executives have become the go-to source for key media on a range of broadcast-related topics. Consequently, the company’s share of voice has rocketed.
