Tektronix Communications was well established as a service assurance provider to mobile operators, with a global presence. Yet very little was known about its data analytics capabilities and the role that played in helping MNOs and brands to monetise network and subscriber data, develop new business models, and create new revenue streams.
Babel PR developed a thought leadership campaign to promote the concept of data enablement for the carriers. This was used to drive media opportunities and stimulate discussion, positioning Tektronix as an authority on the topics of data monetisation and data enablement. A series of well timed issues jumps and media briefings on the back of key industry developments, such as Apple endorsing ad-blocking software, led to a wide range of coverage in business, advertising, and marketing press.
As a result of the campaign Tektronix Communications became recognised as a thought leader on the topic of data enablement and an early mover in this space, gaining credibility with brands and mobile operators alike. Service assurance and cyber security solutions provider NETSCOUT has since acquired the company. Babel PR is now retained as NETSCOUT’s EMEA agency.
