Recently, Babel team members spent two days in Brussels with client BICS, providing 20 of the company’s top experts from around the world with the tools needed to make the most of both international and local media opportunities.
Sessions included guidance on taking control, coherence, confidence and authority, presenting key messages, and crisis communications. Bespoke training elements were added for C-suite executives, focused on visionary statements and dealing with delicate issues; regional heads, on effectively highlighting specific challenges and solutions for their area; and product managers on techniques to explain technical subjects in simple terms.
As a result, BICS has a widely expanded pool of spokespeople seen as thought leaders in their field and region, able to make a real impact in their media interviews, increasing coverage, building relationships with journalists and enhancing the reputation in the industry. Participants reported high levels of interest, participation and knowledge acquisition, with 95% finding the session both relevant and useful.
