Extreme scale visibility
THE CHALLENGE
GeoSpock’s extreme-scale data analytics is transforming a wide range of markets, from smart cities to telecoms. Despite the company’s rapid growth, its media presence had been limited. As GeoSpock was participating at MWC Barcelona for the first time, it appointed Babel to publicise its presence at the show, and devise a PR strategy that supported its growth ambitions.
THE SOLUTION
Babel developed an aggressive campaign to demonstrate the benefits GeoSpock’s solutions can bring to telecoms operators, governments and businesses. By harnessing topical issues such as the schools’ climate change strike, Babel enabled GeoSpock to engage with tier one media, while demonstrating the need for a data-first approach to city planning. Babel developed blogs for the company’s website, and a three-month social media campaign to amplify its thought leadership platform, promote coverage and engage with MWC attendees.
THE OUTCOME
Within the space of two months Babel secured tier one broadcast and online coverage for GeoSpock in the likes of the Daily Mail and E&T, as well as an interview for GeoSpock CEO on BBC Radio Cambridge, boosting visibility for the company ahead of MWC. Babel maximised the company’s participation in MWC19 with a speaking opportunity and a programme of briefings at the show. The social strategy also yielded strong results, leading to 35,000 more impressions than the previous year.
