OVERALL DESCRIPTION – SENIOR CAMPAIGN DIRECTOR
Working closely with senior management and the wider team, you will take ownership of client and team satisfaction and retention for a defined portfolio, as well as meeting agreed revenue and new business targets.
You will manage and plan the total picture involved in a growing client relationship with the support of the team which includes campaign managers (account managers) and the senior leadership team.
A Senior Campaign Director is a fully rounded PR operator who has a thorough understanding of the media and communication skills needed, and the business skills to grow their campaigns and develop their portfolio within the context and plans of the agency.
The role should be to develop strategies and activities for clients and oversee their execution, quality controlling all aspects of the clients’ programmes and relationship with the agency. A Senior Campaign Director should fully understand the role of PR in a client’s marketing mix and be fully versed in the activities of other marketing disciplines.
They must possess excellent planning, creative and strategic thinking skills, with the maturity, sensitivity and commercial awareness to be involved in strategic HR, client service and business development initiatives. - Effective management of a client portfolio of approximately £800,000 per annum to a high degree (over 80%) of client satisfaction, driving the campaign and demonstrating creative and strategic abilities.
- Supporting/driving portfolio annual growth goals of approximately 15% increase in revenue (new business and organic growth).
- Running campaign handling teams in a structured manner, ensuring that the team is fulfilling the plans on time, and achieving the results as agreed with client.
- Having a full understanding of all budgeting procedures and have complete financial control on all clients, projects etc. Undertaking all invoicing for client activities.
- Consolidating strategic client relationships, providing strategic counsel and demonstrating mastery of public relations skills.
- Taking the major role in important presentations to existing client and at new business pitches.
- Ensuring effective business processes through directing all campaigns for profitability.
- Proactively communicating with clients for approval to extend budget if required.
- Using relevant business contacts to ‘add value’ to client programmes.
TEAM LEADERSHIP
- Heading the team, motivating, improving quality and dealing with team problems.

- The salary for the Senior Campaign Director position is £60,000 + a 10% performance bonus after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.

CONTENT
- Producing (and via the team) client-ready PR and marketing content that can be delivered across all channels as part of a comprehensive media and communications campaign.
- Reviewing team produced media and analyst pitches based on briefs from the client, or approved content, alongside active involvement in Tier 1 media pitch and content development.
- Drafting and reviewing client-ready press releases based on content plans, approved by client lead.
- Drafting and reviewing (from the team) client-ready long-form content such as contributed articles based on approved content plans.
- Drafting marketing content such as blogs, whitepapers, social media and mailer copy.
BUSINESS GROWTH
- An eye for organic growth, spotting and putting into action opportunities and plans to cross-sell/upsell.
- Part of a new business sector team, where you actively drive activities to reach prospective companies, such as creating content, attending networking events, attending initial meetings and brief scoping calls.

- Pitching media and analysts with a phone-first approach, with a view of securing media opportunities such as interviews, contributed articles and other written opportunities. Supporting the team with this activity as well – sharing ideas, generating pitches, understanding the media.
- Putting into action and successfully landing new ideas for media and analyst pitches based on approved messaging from clients and breaking industry news.
- Nurturing and building personal relationships with media and analysts through conversation (phone, email, social media and face-to-face) and meeting journalists in person each month – bringing wider team with you.
- Strategic role on organising events, such as trade shows, media tours, workshops, etc.

- Producing client-ready PR and marketing content that can be delivered across all channels as part of a comprehensive media and communications campaign.

SALARY, BENEFITS AND CAREER ADVANCEMENT
- The salary for the Senior Campaign Manager position is £45,000 + a 5% performance bonus after successful completion of a six-month probationary period.
- Pension after three months. New joiners are eligible for our bonus scheme after the successful completion of a six-month probationary period. OVERALL DESCRIPTION – CAMPAIGN MANAGER
Working closely with the wider team, you will take ownership of specific campaign areas or whole client programmes and translating client needs into deliverables, whilst always having the support of your team around you. You will build strong and trusting client/influencer relationships and ensure client satisfaction levels are high and that Babel is associated with outstanding PR and marketing service delivery. This includes proactively developing media and analyst pitches, securing opportunities, and drafting client-ready content to fulfil opportunities, alongside overseeing campaign admin is delivered across the team. You will also play a role in driving agency initiatives, formal line management and mentoring responsibilities and new business activities. At this level, you will have at least 3.5-4 years of experience in a relevant B2B PR role.
