THE CHALLENGE

Jointly owned by Belgacom, Swisscom and MTN, BICS had expanded into new territories and diversified into new markets, but perceptions of the business did not match its scale and scope. Babel was engaged to rectify this problem.

 

 

THE SOLUTION

Babel harnessed data insights from BICS’ network to drive the news agenda. Data-driven announcements on key topics including fraud and 4G roaming were proactively sold into the media and used to respond to breaking news around roaming legislation. In parallel, Babel established a thought leadership position for BICS on areas including the IoT and 5G evolution. Babel further amplified BICS’ data and thought leadership via a content marketing programme, developing regular content for BICS’ owned channels.

 

THE OUTCOME

Visibility increased dramatically across business and trade media. BICS is now regarded as an industry expert and thought leader on a host of key issues, regularly receiving invitations to speak or give a comment on industry developments. Media coverage is being utilised by sales teams to drive conversations with prospects, while BICS’ blog has bolstered market engagement and enhanced SEO.
