GLOBAL REINSURANCE GIANT Swiss Re SELECTS Recommind’s AXCELERATE EDISCOVERY SOFTWARE
SAN FRANCISCO and BONN, GERMANY — September 5, 2012 — Recommind, the leader in predictive information management and analysis software, today announced that Swiss Re has deployed its Axcelerate Review & Analysis solution in-house to add to Swiss Re’s efficient and strategic approach to eDiscovery and information governance.
The Swiss Re Group is a leading wholesale provider of reinsurance, insurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer with more than 60 offices in Europe, the United States, Asia and Africa. Swiss Re will use Axcelerate Review & Analysis to enhance its sophisticated early case assessment (ECA), culling and first-pass review of documents as part of litigation, arbitration and regulatory investigations where this is possible and appropriate.
“Axcelerate Review & Analysis is a truly remarkable eDiscovery solution,” said Christian Zeunert, Head of eDiscovery Management at Swiss Re. “Our first experience with Axcelerate eDiscovery has been very positive and promising. The Recommind team is extremely focused and customer oriented, which has contributed greatly to the success of this project. Most importantly, Recommind shares Swiss Re’s vision of addressing multiple enterprise information management, governance and eDiscovery challenges with a single extensible platform like CORE®. As a first step toward this vision, the deployment of Axcelerate has helped us to further lower our costs.”
“Swiss Re approaches unstructured information management in a forward-looking way: holistically, so that short-term tactical needs are addressed, but with an eye to addressing longer-term data integration and the analysis of unstructured information throughout the entire business,” said Bob Tennant, CEO of Recommind. “Companies like Swiss Re need to analyze more data in less time than ever before, and without Recommind’s advanced platform for machine-learning and analytics, they find it’s hard to keep up. Swiss Re is among a rapidly growing number of large enterprises enjoying an immediate benefit from using Recommind’s CORE platform as the basis for numerous unstructured information applications.”
Axcelerate Review & Analysis uses machine-learning technology to enable fast, accurate review of small and large document collections, including more than 300 file types such as email, Microsoft Office files, and Adobe PDFs. Built on Recommind’s patented CORE machine-learning platform, Axcelerate could also be used to automatically pinpoint the most important documents from the very outset of the analysis and review process, identifying key documents, people, phrases and concepts of interest.
