Cognatel Launches allpay Mobile for Landlords
Cognatel, London, 4 June, 2013: Cognatel, the MVNA (mobile virtual network aggregator) and mobile services provider, today announced that it is working with ET Telecom, the UK MVNO behind the launch of allpay Mobile, a mobile service created in partnership with payments specialist allpay. allpay Mobile, now being piloted by a range of housing associations, offers competitive rates and a unique rewards package that automatically contributes to the subscribing resident’s rental account.
The new mobile service offers housing association residents calling rates below those of major UK operators and uniquely, every time an allpay Mobile subscriber tops up, 10% will be saved towards their rent account. In addition, multiple allpay Mobile subscribers can contribute to the same rental account and call each other for free.
Tony Killeen, managing director at allpay commented: “Cognatel and ET Telecom provided us with the access to a major network provider and an innovative approach to service development. That has allowed us to launch this new service and provide a unique opportunity to reward residents without a shift in behaviour. We know the welfare reform is a challenging time for many of our clients and we hope that allpay Mobile will be one more way to help landlords curb arrears under Universal Credit.”
The pilot will run from June 2013 and has already seen huge demand from landlords wanting to take part. Family Mosaic, IDS Housing Association, Knowsley Housing, Trafford Housing Trust, Cestriaand Herefordshire Housing have all confirmed their place in the pilot.
Cognatel’s connectivity and access to mobile services through its robust network, billing and CRM infrastructure have dramatically simplified ET Telecom’s design and development of the allpay Mobile proposition. Mark Ashdown, CEO of Cognatel, explained: “At Cognatel, we are always looking to partner with companies who are looking for new and imaginative ways to deliver mobile services. This original business model allows allpay to implement a self-funding, revenue generating model that creates greater affinity with its customers. It is great to see more brands turn to mobile as an additional revenue stream and we look forward to demonstrating once again how we can bring such unique propositions to market.”
ET Telecom works with brands, enterprises and long distance international call providers to create and operate fully branded mobile services and is the MVNO behind the branded commercial proposition for allpay; complete with dedicated SIM card, pricing, marketing and customer support.
Darren Mikail CEO of ET Telecoms, said: “Now is the perfect time for brands to tap into the mobile services market. We are increasingly seeing them use mobile communications to tailor niche services for their customers. Companies like allpay are at the forefront of this change, offering their own branded services for their specific target audiences and, in the process, generating previously untapped revenue opportunities.”
