Wolseley Axcelerates Risk Evaluation
London, 17 October, 2013– Recommind, a leader in unstructured data management, analysis and governance technology, announced today that Wolseley plc., the FTSE 100 and world’s largest trade distributor of plumbing and heating products and a leading supplier of building materials, has installed Axcelerate® ECA (Early Case Assessment) & Collection with the capability to deploy across all of its trading operations worldwide.
The volume of data – both structured and unstructured – held by companies across the world is massive and continues to grow. Email data alone is predicted to be growing annually at a rate of 30 %. Establishing the risks associated with this data, has become an increasingly complex and time consuming task. Today’s regulatory environment requires companies to have the ability to respond to events quickly, accurately and consistently.
Part of Recommind’s Information Governance Suite (IGS), Axcelerate ECA & Collection will enable Wolseley to preserve, collect, process, cull and analyse all electronically stored information, whatever its original location, as part of its evaluation of risk in its business processes. The solution from Recommind includes unique Predictive Analytics and Predictive Coding functionality which will enable Wolseley to locate and assess relevant files quickly and easily.
Ed Walker, General Counsel, Nordics at Wolseley, who led the project for Wolseley Group commented “The Recommind solution was chosen for two main reasons: the power of its predictive coding technology and, more importantly, a user-friendly interface requiring minimal training to get results. In most cases 20 minutes training from an existing user is all that is required.”
“With terabytes of data spread across multiple enterprise data sources, basic keyword search can often be insufficient for quickly and reliably locating the most relevant information,” says Mark Cordy, European Director at Recommind. “Recommind’s Axcelerate eDiscovery efficiently crawls and indexes information from any enterprise data source, allowing users to identify relevant documents for litigation, compliance and internal investigations without moving them from their original location. This significantly reduces the time and cost associated with data retrieval, analysis and review.”
