Oulu, Finland –21st May, 2015 – Anite, a global leader in wireless network testing technology, today announced that it has been selected to provide 12 Nemo Invex benchmarking platforms for OSIPTEL, the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications in Peru (Organismo Supervisor de la Inversión Privada en Telecomunicaciones). The Peruvian Government will use the equipment to verify the performance of cellular operators’ services throughout the country. This is one of the single largest purchases of benchmarking equipment by a regulatory entity in Latin America. Including this contract Anite now supplies solutions to nearly half of the regulators in South America.
“It has been five years since OSIPTEL purchased the first generation Nemo Invex platform and we are delighted that they have chosen to evolve to the next release” said Marcel Del Prado, Director for Latin America at Anite’s Network Testing Business. “Nemo Invex is one of the most versatile and reliable benchmarking solutions in the market. Today’s announcement demonstrates Anite’s ongoing commitment to regulatory bodies, as well as our technical expertise in developing our Nemo solutions to meet customer requirements as cellular networks evolve.”
OSIPTEL will use the products to verify and benchmark national operators’ service levels, ensuring that the 2G/3G and 4G LTE networks meet the set national standards. Anite’s Nemo solutions were selected due to the products’ compliance with the technical requirements set by OSIPTEL coupled with a sound commercial proposal.
