Babel selected for Effective Space lift-off
PR campaign designed to expose the in-orbit services provider to investment community and potential satellite operator customers
Effective Space Solutions Limited (Effective Space), the UK-headquartered company specialising in last-mile logistics in space, has appointed Babel to lead an international PR campaign to initiate investor interest and drive brand awareness of its SPACE DRONE™ spacecraft. Effective Space is pioneering a new industry with the launch of its first two SPACE DRONE™ spacecraft scheduled for 2020. Each spacecraft will dock with, and significantly extend the life of, an existing communication satellite in orbit.
Babel was chosen after a competitive pitch process, and was selected because of strong content capabilities, an intelligent and creative approach and its extensive knowledge of the media opportunities. Babel’s remit includes media relations, content development, event support and executive profiling within the space, satellite, aviation, telecoms, technology and business press.
Daniel Campbell, UK Managing Director, Effective Space commented: “We were very clear in our search for an agency that we needed an intelligent team who could see through the complexity of the space sector to deliver messages that would resonate with a wide range of media. Babel not only demonstrated that intelligence; they showed how we could elevate our story. The campaign has already exceeded our expectations with strong interest from major international business media that, in turn, is driving interest in Effective Space.”
Ian Hood, CEO at Babel added: “We’re thrilled to be working with Effective Space, a revolutionary company leading the way in the UK’s space sector. The development of viable in-orbit servicing solutions is one of the most important developments in space technology for decades and one we are excited to witness and to be part of.”
Hood continued: “Goldman Sachs recently dubbed in-orbit servicing as “the backbone of the future” for investment opportunities in the new space sector, so this is a great opportunity to be part of something truly ground-breaking.”
