Open Mobile to Deploy Devicescape Service Platform for Always Best Connected User Experience
SAN BRUNO, Calif., November 4, 2014 — Devicescape today announced that Open Mobile, a leading LTE operator in Puerto Rico, is to deploy the Devicescape Service Platform (DSP), providing its customers with an always best connected mobile data experience.
With the Devicescape solution Open Mobile will be able to manage the movement of its customers between the cellular network and private, public and carrier Wi-Fi — seamlessly and according to sophisticated policy controls. In addition, end users will benefit from access to Devicescape’s Curated Virtual Network (CVN) of more than 20 million amenity Wi-Fi hotspots worldwide, each monitored in real time for quality, availability and security.
The Devicescape CVN offers a huge capacity boost at a fraction of the costs associated with operator-owned infrastructure.
“The customer experience is at the heart of our proposition,” said Juan Saca, President and CEO of Open Mobile. “Using the Devicescape solution we are able to ensure our subscribers have automatic access to the best data connection at any given time, wherever they go and without having to endure complicated manual access procedures.”
With the DSP — the world’s largest Wi-Fi service platform — operators can manage and monetize the entire data experience of the smartphone user, improving customer satisfaction, increasing revenue and driving greater customer lifetime value.
“We are thrilled to be working with Open Mobile to further enhance the experience they deliver to their customers,” said Dave Fraser, CEO of Devicescape. “Open Mobile, like an increasing number of operators, understand that end users just want the best connection they can get, irrespective of access technology or location. This is precisely what Devicescape enables.”
