OpenCloud Ranked by Deloitte as one of the UK’s Fastest Growing Technology Companies
Attributes its 1046 Per cent Revenue Growth to its Innovative Approach to Solving Critical Challenges Faced by the Telecoms Industry
Cambridge, UK, 9 November 2012: Telecoms software innovator OpenCloud, today announced that it has been ranked 19th in the UK Deloitte Technology Fast 50 2012, which is a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology firms in the UK. Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over five years. OpenCloud grew 1046 per cent during this period.
OpenCloud has experienced consistently strong growth from the start of its commercial activities in 2005. The company recorded its best ever financial quarter at the end of 2011 and this success has continued throughout 2012. A number of tier one mobile operators, including members of the T-Mobile and Vodafone groups, and market challengers such as Free-Mobile in France have adopted Rhino – OpenCloud’s flexible, open-standards-based service layer platform. Rhino helps operators to deliver mobile services cost effectively and to differentiate their service portfolios to be more competitive in a crowded market. OpenCloud’s open technology also harnesses a broad community of independent developers. This independent ecosystem can assist operators in ramping up the speed of their service innovation and network transformation.
“The company’s impressive growth can be attributed to the fresh and innovative approach that we have adopted to solve the critical challenges faced by our customers, the telecoms service providers. Constrictive market conditions are ensuring that mobile operators are looking to reduce costs, differentiate themselves, and compete against the emergent over-the-top service providers. By breaking the tradition whereby equipment vendors control innovation, OpenCloud’s products speak directly to that requirement”, said Jeff Gordon, CEO of OpenCloud. “OpenCloud’s portfolio of products are open and enable service innovation by any in the eco system. This enables operators to adapt to change, faster and more cost effectively. We are committed to removing the barriers to innovation in order to allow operators to succeed.”
Its remarkable growth over last five years is also reflected by Deloitte ranking OpenCloud as the third fastest growing telecommunications company in the UK, and the number one fastest growing technology company in Cambridge and East England.
