Ostmodern ramps up international growth with New York office
OTT specialist bolsters its physical presence with US expansion, targets growth for its Skylark video platform and user experience and design projects
London and New York, 26th April 2017 – Ostmodern today announced the opening of an office in New York. The move was fuelled in part by the success of its Skylark video platform across EMEA and APAC, with the US office intended to drive the growth and implementation of innovative video platforms for customers across the region. The new venture also satisfies the need for a user experience, design, and product development hub in the US, offering regional support for Ostmodern’s growing international customer base and introducing local expertise for new projects secured in the States.
Ostmodern has seen several global customer wins in recent months. It’s also delivered on major Skylark deployments, including those for the BBC and News Corp. With much of Ostmodern’s recent growth originating from the US, the new office is set to expand quickly. Ostmodern will hire local account management, sales, engineering, and implementation teams in the near future, delivering on its growth and strategic support plans for the region.
Richard Amos, CTO at Ostmodern, will lead the New York office. The venture will also be supported by newly appointed Commercial Director, Stuart Ferreira-Cole.
Commenting on the move, Amos said: “Ostmodern has already established itself as an international player and we’ve had close ties with the US market for several years now. The strength of our combined service and product offering, and the number of US-based clients we’re already working with, made opening an office in New York a logical next step in our plans for continued growth.”
Ostmodern specialises in video products, working with major brands to create services consumers love to use and managing all aspects of development from initial design to build. One way this can be delivered is through Skylark; Ostmodern’s end-to-end video delivery platform that empowers editorial teams to curate consumer-driven frontend experiences. It’s designed for broadcasters and content owners to enhance their VoD offerings, and can integrate with third-party tools to create a framework for going to market quickly and easily.
Ferreira-Cole added: “There’s no doubt the US holds fantastic potential for shaping the future of VoD and content delivery. Ostmodern has always been at the forefront of innovation and drawing on local expertise in New York will help to ensure we remain at the cutting edge, not only for our US customers but also the international brands Ostmodern works with.”
Ostmodern’s US office launch coincides with the company’s attendance at NAB. To schedule a meeting and learn more about its service offering and Skylark platform, and what’s next for Ostmodern in the States, contact ostmodern@babelpr.com.
