Widen appoints Babel to support strategic expansion to UK market

London, UK – 4th March 2020 – US-headquartered marketing technology company Widen has appointed Babel as its UK agency of record, tasked with supporting the company’s strategic expansion into Europe by establishing a foothold in the UK market.

Established in Wisconsin, USA over 70 years ago, Widen has helped more than 600,000 marketers, content creators, and technologists to connect with target audiences through the smarter use of content. Its digital asset management (DAM) solution helps globally recognised brands, including the YMCA, Yankee Candle, New Balance and the Salvation Army, to increase marketing efficiency by creating and using digital assets – logos, images, text – in an impactful, measurable and consistent way.

Despite being an established leader on its home turf, Widen recently opened a London office to act as the hub for its European expansion ambitions. The company decided to appoint a UK technology specialist agency to help boost its brand awareness in the region through targeted thought leadership and PR activity.

Babel’s unparalleled experience in the marketing technology sector, as well as its established relationships with analysts and media, its strategic mindset and its creative, proactive and intelligent approach to influencer relations made it a natural choice for Widen.

Babel’s remit will include media relations, corporate storytelling, messaging development, strategic counsel into local marketing positioning, and the development of key narratives that will resonate with customers, prospects and media.

Sairah Mojib, Widen Head of Marketing, EMEA, said: “We’re excited to be working with the Babel team, which from the outset has shown a deep understanding of our business and target markets. Their creativity, expert content development and strong influencer relationships have quickly delivered quality coverage for Widen in our key target media, which not only boosts our visibility as a business, but positions us as the go-to thought leaders in the digital asset management space.”

Sarah Alonze, Director, Babel added: “Widen has a proud history of innovation, helping marketers at some of the most respected companies create memorable brand experiences and drive brand loyalty. As a company, it has an interesting heritage stemming from an engraving company that was founded with a $1,500 mortgage in 1948, and transforming to the digital content leader it is today. We are very excited to be working with Widen to promote its expertise in the UK market.”
