Anite’s LTE device testing leadership builds momentum

Anite, a global leader in wireless device testing technology, is currently attending the GSMA Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona.

Anite has achieved significant business and product development throughout 2011 and early 2012, based on its commitment to maintaining technology leadership. With an unmatched expertise and contribution to the 3GPP standardisation, Anite has verified over 85 per cent of the LTE protocol test cases that constitute the current Global Certification Forum (GCF) certification requirements.

Last November, Anite announced that its protocol conformance testing solution – Anite Conformance Toolset – had once again been confirmed by the GCF as having the broadest range of tests for formal protocol certification testing of the latest LTE devices. During that same month, Anite announced its Development Toolset solution now supports extensive LTE Multi-RAT (Multiple Radio Access Technology) testing. Anite is unique in the industry, as the only provider of chipset and device test solutions to offer LTE Multi-RAT testing prior to hardware integration, on a host platform.

In January, Telefónica Germany selected Anite’s LTE interoperability test solution SAS, in order to ramp up its market introduction of LTE devices. SAS enables the operator to launch high quality devices more quickly and cost-effectively. Telefónica Germany is upgrading its existing suite of Anite testing systems to include LTE as Anite’s SAS can reduce the time needed to test new handsets by up to 50 per cent.

Earlier this month Anite announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate with the China Mobile Research Institute (CMRI), the R&D division of China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile operator, on research to facilitate the global roll-out of TD-LTE technology.
