Comarch partners with OpenCloud to boost service provider innovation

September 13 2011,

Comarch, a global telecom software provider and OpenCloud, a telecom service layer solution provider announced a global partnership agreement today. The partnership’s goal is to enable service providers to increase service innovation with open development techniques, and operate efficiently within a multi-service and multi-network environment.

Comarch’s comprehensive telecom product and service portfolio combined with the flexible, open, standards-based technology of OpenCloud’s Rhino platform will enable service providers to execute service innovation strategies more simply, quickly and cost effectively.

Both companies will also collaborate in developing new telecom applications and next-generation intelligent networks. With Comarch’s cross domain experience in BSS, OSS, mobile applications and network integrations, and OpenCloud’s excellent technology for real-time execution of applications written in the widely adopted Java language, the partnership will help operators build and deliver end-to-end services in SS7 and IP-based (IMS/LTE) networks.

“By blending OpenCloud’s leading-edge technology with Comarch’s knowledge and experience, our partnership yields a powerful solution that addresses operators’ demand for innovation and flexibility” – said Jeff Gordon, CEO of OpenCloud.

“These days, the ability to support the rapid and low-cost development of services and applications is critical” – claims Piotr Machnik, EVP Product Management & Marketing. – “We believe that our partnership with OpenCloud adds a new perspective to the traditional delivery of service models, thus enabling service providers to offer innovative services fast and efficiently.”
