Crowdsourcing platform eYeka sponsoring the Young Cyber Lions Award at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2014
Paris, 10th June 2014: As a sign that crowdsourcing has definitely entered the creative industry’s mainstream agenda, eYeka, the global market leader in crowdsourcing for marketers has announced that it will sponsor the Young Cyber Lions award at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2014.
The Young Cyber Lions Competition provides a space for advertising professionals up to 28 years old to showcase their talent. The participating teams, comprising an art director and copywriter, will be challenged to work on a brief under time pressure (24 hours only) and deliver a creative solution in the form of an integrated social media campaign, to be judged by experts at the Festival.
Participants are selected through a pre-selection process in their own country. In 2013, 334 young people took part in Young Lions competitions with the winners being recognised during the high-profile awards ceremonies.
As a sponsor, eYeka will be providing guidance and mentoring to help the participants understand and adopt the latest best practices in social media and crowdsourcing to deliver campaigns that respond to the brief in the most creative and effective manner.
In addition to this sponsorship François Pétavy, CEO of eYeka and Joël Céré, Global Director of Insights and Innovation will conduct a workshop at the Jim Stengel Young Marketers Academy, a week-long course for young professionals working for client marketer companies. Held during Cannes Lions, it addresses the importance of creativity in communication and provides a bigger picture of a marketer’s role. François and Joël will be speaking on the topic of “Creating a sustainable creative advantage with consumers’ ideas.” They will talk about how consumer co-creation, when embedded into an organisation can create the next marketing and communication breakthroughs.”
The session will take place on Friday 20th of June at 9:30AM.
“Crowdsourcing is a new mindset, the recognition that the world is too complex for any company to have all the best ideas solely coming from within its own four-walls. As such, it is at the intersection of social media and creativity, and the Young Cyber Lions was a natural choice for eYeka to be involved. We are proud to foster the emergence of new talents with an appetite for change and an open-mind.” François Pétavy, CEO of eYeka
