Nominum Strengthens Management Team with New CMO

Redwood City, USA, December 5, 2013  ̶  NominumTM, the provider of integrated subscriber, network and security solutions for communication service providers (CSPs), today announced a significant addition to its executive team with the appointment of Sanjay Kapoor as CMO. Previously Chief Strategy Officer of Juniper Networks’ software division, Mr. Kapoor has a successful track record in the identification and development of new market opportunities in the technology sector. His experience spans leadership and strategic roles for global software and networking companies, including a pivotal role in developing Juniper’s network automation and analytics business.

Mr Kapoor is responsible for driving Nominum’s growth and product strategy for Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure products and applications that leverage insights garnered from DNS data to provide CSPs with highly effective new approaches to network security and subscriber engagement. These applications build on Nominum’s leadership in DNS and the successful launch of its N2 platform last year, which provides CSPs with access to real-time DNS traffic streams, policy enforcement capabilities and data analytics.

At Juniper Networks, Mr. Kapoor was most recently responsible for business strategy, portfolio expansion / management and execution planning for its $1B software business. That role was preceded by his position as business owner and key strategist of Juniper’s network automation and analytics business. Mr. Kapoor has more than 20 years’ experience in the networking and software industry having held senior management roles with Cisco, Sony and Qualcomm prior to Juniper. He is a frequent speaker on customer engagement and marketing analytics at conferences worldwide.
