PCTEST Engineering Lab selects Anite to expand LTE device testing service
Fleet, Hampshire, UK – December 6, 2011 – Anite, a global leader in wireless device testing technology, today announced that PCTEST Engineering Laboratory (PCTEST Lab), a leading independent test house for wireless device manufacturers and carriers, has chosen to enhance their services through the addition of Anite’s industry-leading device test solutions.
PCTEST Lab is now able to offer its customers test services based on Anite’s signaling Conformance Toolset and interoperability test solution, SAS. Additionally, Anite’s solutions enable PCTEST to offer its customers stress testing, which entails subjecting the mobile phone to random and excessive signaling tests. In response to strong customer demand for a one-stop test solution, PCTEST Lab will now be providing a comprehensive range of GCF and PTCRB tests as well as carrier-specific LTE validated tests. PCTEST Lab sees Anite’s leadership in LTE signaling conformance as evidence of Anite’s broader expertise in wireless device testing.
“Anite’s solutions will allow us to increase capacity, run multiple projects, and reduce time-to-market for our customers,” says Randy Ortanez, President of PCTEST Lab. “We wanted to expand our test coverage and chose Anite because of their leadership within LTE signaling conformance and carrier acceptance tests. Our investment in Anite’s complete set of LTE test suites including SAS, stress testing and carrier acceptance script packages enhances PCTEST’s leadership in LTE conformance testing.”
Mike Bonin, Managing Director of Anite’s Handset Testing Business, adds: “PCTEST Lab has maintained a long standing position as a CCF Authorized Testing Facility, which mirrors Anite’s leadership in GCF test case availability and expertise. Anite offers an unrivalled level of technological leadership expertise, having verified 85% of all LTE GCF test cases. This is a result of long standing collaborations with chipset and device manufacturers as well as mobile operators. We look forward to a close working relationship with PCTEST Lab and to further enable the commercialization of LTE devices.”
